Guru Aniruddha Das is an exponent of Odissi and is a recipient of the prestigious Guru Debaprasad Das award in the year 1993. A Doordarshan gradation artist and an ICCR empanelled artist, Guru Aniruddha is the Odissi Guru at the Centre and has choreographed various Centre’s repertoires like Draupadi, Krishna and Nirvana. The productions have been presented in various prestigious festivals such as Khajuraho Dance Festival, Bhakti Festival, Mukteshwar Festival and International Buddhist Festival in Sri Lanka, Thailand and Arunachal Pradesh.
Guru Shikha Khare is a Kathak Exponent, U.P. Sangeet Natak Akademi Awardee, A- Grade Artist of Doordarshan, Govt of India & an All India Women Achiever Awardee. Before joining in the Centre as our Kathak faculty, she had worked as a Guru at Shriram Bhartiya Kala Kendra & Kathak Kendre for several years.
Sudha Jagannath commenced her training in Bharatanatyam in childhood from Smt. Swarna Saraswati and later form Guru Govindarajan. She continued her training at the Shriram Bharatiya Kala Kendra, primarily under Shri Justin McCarthy for over a decade. Sudha Jagannath has taught at the Shriram Bharatiya Kala Kendra for over a decade too. She has worked with eminent choreographers such as Chandralekha, Justin McCarthy and Navtej Singh Johar among others. Retaining a keen interest in pedagogy, she has been part of the Dance Curriculum designing team of the National Institute of Open Education. Currently she is the Guru for Bharatnatyam at the Centre.
Krishan Verma has trained under renowned artists such as Guru J.J. Sai Babu, Guru Aniruddha Das & Guru Santosh Nair. He is the teacher for Chhau at the Centre for the past seven years and has performed extensively in various festivals both nationally & internationally. His production Drona, a dance drama in Chhau is one of Centre’s repertoire gems and has been well received by both audience & critics.
Ajay Bhatt has trained in Chhau and Indian Contemporary under Gurus J.J. Sai Babu and Guru Santosh Nair. Over the years he has performed on various platforms across the world and is the scholarship holder with the Sahitya Kala Parishad. His recent production with the Centre Aazadi, is a powerful contemporary dance drama. He is the teacher for Indian Contemporary Dance for the past six years.
